PROCEDURES FOR ADMISSION OF CLIENTS INTO NDLEA REHABILITATION CENTRE

• i. Enquiry: Information & Requirements are given
• ii. Application for Rehabilitation by the Client/Parent/Guardian
• iii. Approval of the Admission by the State Commander
• iv. Intake Interview using the Alcohol Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test (ASSIST) to ascertain whether to admit the Client or referral
• v. Signing of Consent Form
• vi Drug Test on the Client to confirm the kind of drugs he is using
• vii Design Treatment Plan
• viii Comprehensive Medical Check-up
• ix Consultation with the Medical Personnel/Psychiatrist
• x Detoxification under supervision
• xi Psychosocial Interventions (Individual and Group Counseling Sessions)
• xii Duration: Duration is minimum of 12 weeks. It can be extended depending on the severity of the individual’s problems and needs
• xiii Visitation by family members on Tuesdays and Thursdays. No visitation on weekends
• xiv Cost of feeding are borne by Parent/Guardian and varies from one State to another.
