The Directorate of Airport Operations does among others the following:
- Coordination and supervision of activities at the Airport commands with a view to checking drug trafficking activities.
- Carrying out investigations/ operations linked to drugs in the aviation industry.
- Intelligence gathering/ sharing.
- Profiling of passengers, search and inspection of baggages for outward and inward bound travellers.
- Liaising with aviation stakeholders and sister security Agencies within the aviation space to checkmate activities of drug traffickers.
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the CCEO.
- Carrying out surveillance activities within the airports.
